Equal Pay Policy

Öryggismiðstöðin´s Equal Pay Policy

1. Scope

Öryggismiðstöðin operates according to an equal pay system and our equal pay policy is in accordance with the requirements of the equal pay standard ÍST 85:2012 and in accordance with act No. 10/2008 on equal status and equal rights irrespective of gender. The policy covers all the employees of Öryggismiðstöðin. The goal is for men and women to be paid the same for the same or equally valuable work.

2. Policy and Purpose

Maintain an equal pay system based on the equal pay standard ÍST 85:2012
To conduct a pay analysis at least once a year comparing equally valuable jobs and examining whether there are differences in wages based on gender and presenting our employees with the main results.
Responding to unexplained pay gaps through continuous improvements and supervision
Conduct an internal assessment and review of the system and its performance with managers at least annually
Comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to the equal pay system
Explaining the Equal Pay Policy to employees of Öryggismiðstöðin and making it available on the company´s website.
The Director of Finance and Operations at Öryggismiðstöðin is responsible for the company's equal pay policy and equal pay system and its compliance with the applicable legal requirements. The Director of Finance and Operations is also responsible for maintaining the equal pay system in accordance with ÍST 85:2012.
