Öryggismiðstöðin´s Gender Equality Policy

1. Purpose and scope

Öryggismiðstöðin’s Gender EqualityPolicy is based on Icelandic laws on Equal Status and Equal Rights Irrespective of Gender.

2. Policy

The aim of the policy is to establish and maintain equal opportunities for employees regardless of gender, origin, age, and/or religion. Jobs will not be classified as men's or women's jobs and are available to all regardless of gender. When hiring, efforts will be made to balance gender equity, subject to qualification criteria. Our employees will enjoy the same opportunities for professional development, continuous education, retraining, and career progress regardless of gender. Our employees will have the same opportunities to coordinate their work and personal lives, including when it comes to maternity/paternity leave, leave due to their children's illness, and other flexibility irrespective of gender. Our employees will enjoy the same opportunities, rights, and working conditions, including working hours irrespective of gender. The company's working environment shall be free of bullying, sexual harassment, gender-based harassment, and violence in accordance with Regulation no. 1009/2015 on measures against bullying, sexual harassment, gender-based harassment, and violence in the workplace.
